Techno Prints

1994, Zerographic prints on paper

The edition of ‘techno prints’ was undertaken for an exhibition at the Seattle Art Museum. The prints were made entirely using photocopiers and large engineering printers at a Seattle reprographics company. Fels was able to print on archival paper, obviously not the paper stock the printers were designed for. The imagery was retrieved from old books and catalogues and then layered as in a collage.
